Tell us something about you. Your story and your steps until you come to this world cup.
Well time just flies! I remember to begin as assistent of Lex for the U21 of Belgium and now I have 14 seasons of international experience and this is my 5th WC as manager. After the WC U21 with Austria I needed a new challenge at an NT level this time. ChilleanDestroyer decided to quit as NT manager of Uruguay and I took over, so actually I was only manager for 9 games this season.
The beginning was very good, we had a 12/12 but after these great matches I lost twice. Against Thailand (they had a new manager so I couldn't scout them) and Slovenia (I couldn't prepare the game cause I was in Barcelona). But after these setbacks we won 4 matches in a row and we qualified for the WC

What is your expectation about this World Cup? Any goals?
Uruguay NT isn't strong enough to claim that we will be the WC winners :p We just have to wait until we now who we will face. My goal is to make a good tactical game and then I will see if it is enough to pass to the next round.

How difficult it is for you to get competitive players for your NT?
It's getting more and more difficult. I have a lot of key players in my squad that are getting really old and it is very hard to replace them. For a lot of them it will be their last WC!

In your opinion what is needed for this game to improve the competitiveness level of the clubs and national teams?
A lot of new and active users would be quite nice

Do you believe as a surprise to the winner of this world cup like season 19 or will be won by a favorite team?
Uruguay NT was the surprise winner so I hope history can repeat itself :p but honestly, I think a favorite team will win it.

What do you think in general about this World Cup and Argentinian organization so far?
We know Cure, so the organisation will be perfect again.

What are your plans for the future?
I don't know yet, I will see what happens after the WC.

Something else to add?
Nope not really, accept that I want to thank Cure for all his amazing efforts!
